During my PhD, I will investigate fatty acid (FA) biosynthesis in copepods and evaluate the influence of multiple stressors on FA profiles. This will allow me to select the best conditions for upscaling copepod cultures under controlled laboratory conditions. Afterwards, the cultivated copepods can be assessed as live feed for larval fish without the need for formulated feed. This research aims to enhance sustainability in aquaculture.
